Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM UK & Ireland's Infrastructure segment is seeking a proactive and motivated Commercial Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Wales or Bristol area. Playing a key role in supporting and enhancing commercial performance while delivering major civil engineering projects, you'll bring a keen eye, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Your team The role will be a hybrid role ( min 3 days per week)
Candidates can be based in the Wales or Bristol area, with a requirement to travel to projects and site offices as needed.
Making Possible As a Commercial Assistant, you will support the commercial team in maintaining effective cost control and reporting ensuring costs are allocated correctly and processes are followed in a consistent manner. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assist with the monthly cost and value reconciliation supplying requested information such as material and plant accruals
Input into our cost collation systems
Processing subcontractor payments and clearing bought ledger invoices in line with agreed terms
Producing cost-monitoring reports and analysing exception data
Gathering and collating commercial data for internal and external reporting
Managing allocation sheets, records, and the document filing system
Participating in meetings and training sessions
Using MS Office and other software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations
Supporting wider commercial functions as required
Ensuring compliance with company and project commercial procedures
