BAM UK & Ireland is looking for Blasting Engineers/Trainee Blasting Engineers to join our team, supporting the Quarrying and extractive operations across the United Kingdom (Scotland and England specifically). This will be a hands-on role carrying out Drill and Blast duties and working alongside our blasting teams to deliver safe, efficient results. Full training program would be issued for the Trainee position.
The engineer will support day-to-day blasting operations across the Central Belt of Scotland or the East Midlands, including Cumbria, Lancashire, and Leicestershire. They will also be responsible for maintaining the highest safety standards and working with the Quarry Regulations 1999. This will also include designing blasts, keeping accurate records, attending production meetings, producing activity plans and risk assessments, and maintaining a personal career development plan.
