BAM UK & Ireland Infrastructure segment are recruiting for a Section Engineer.

We are seeking a well rounded individual to join our Earthworks team at Hinkley Point C.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills to allow effective conversations across multiple organisations, alongside a good understanding of large scale earthworks operations, material testing and material classification.

The role requires a questioning attitude to ensure technical compliance, delivering work safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

A working knowledge of engineering processes, and adherence to industry regulations and best practices is needed with an element of this being developed as you start the role.

  • Making Possible
  • Data coordination and analysis using a digital dashboard.
  • Coordination and analysis of drone survey data.
  • Support digital modelling of terrain and overburden movement
  • Oversee and manage technical delivery of material classification, ensuring compliance with design specifications and project requirements.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Monitor site progress, conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure work meets contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and resolve issues, collaborating with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and regulatory authorities.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting best practices on-site.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of resources, including materials, labour, and equipment, to optimise project efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, quality documentation, and as-built information.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution and compliance with all requirements.
