Building a sustainable tomorrow. The Ferrovial BAM Joint Venture (FBJV) has a successful history of delivering critical infrastructure for the UK on time and to budget together in joint venture partnership. They first worked together in 2010 as BFK, delivering three Crossrail contracts, including the longest stretch of tunnelling works between Royal Oak and Farringdon and Farringdon Station, the first central station to be completed on the Elizabeth Line. The team is also delivering the Silvertown Tunnel project together in East London and has been delivering excellence at each stage of HS2.

We are now recruiting for a Cost Planner to join the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the Birmingham, Snow Hill, Project offices. In this role you will be supporting the effective management of cost, budget, and performance on a major infrastructure project. The role will play a key part in ensuring alignment between cost data, the Clause 32 (CL32) Accepted Programme, and the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).

Working within the Project Controls and planning team, you will support cost forecasting, budget control, and earned value reporting, ensuring cost information is robust, traceable, and aligned with the latest accepted programme.

Your team: This is an office based role based at our Birmingham, Snow Hill, Project offices, offering the opportunity to work on a complex, high profile infrastructure project.

Making Possible:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the PMB (Performance Measurement Baseline) / BAC (Budget at completion), aligned to the CL32 Programme
  • Assisting with cost forecasting, EAC management, and Bottom-Up Forecasting to integrate within the CL32 programme
  • Maintaining alignment between WBS (Work breakdown Structure), CBS (Cost breakdown Structure), PMB (Performance Measurement Baseline)
  • Contributing to monthly cost and performance reporting, including variance analysis
  • Working closely with Planning, Commercial, and Project Controls teams to maintain an integrated cost and schedule position

  • Experience in cost planning, cost control, or project controls within construction or infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts (Option C desirable)
  • Understanding of CL32 programmes, PMB, and earned value principles
  • Confident using Primavera P6, cost systems, and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
