BAM UK & Ireland are recruiting a Bid Coordinator to join our frameworks team. The Bid Coordinator plays a key role in managing the structure, process and timely delivery of bid submissions, ensuring information is well-organised, high quality and compliant. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, coordination and working at the centre of fast-paced, deadline-driven activity.

Making Possible

  • Support completion of written submissions and marketing information, such as expressions of interest, pre-qualification questionnaires, tenders, case studies and presentations.
  • Format documents in a clear, compelling and consistent way, whilst maintaining compliance with BAM UK & Ireland brand requirements.
  • Work with other members of the proposals team to coordinate and collate responses for proposals.
  • Create simple but impactful graphics to include within proposals.
  • Ensure that all Client requirements are reflected within each proposal.
  • Develop presentation slides and materials.
  • Plan workload to ensure that all submission deadlines are met.
  • Attend kick-off and progress meetings as required.
  • Self-check work and undertake reviews of proposals developed by other team members, providing constructive criticism to drive improvement.
  • Proof read responses to ensure a high-quality written submission, checking for readability, clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure and formatting.
  • Coordinate and produce any hard-copy proposals required.
  • Update and support ongoing development of the knowledge management system to capture bid text, evidence and other relevant information in a structured and usable way.
  • Review feedback and lessons learned on both successful and unsuccessful proposals to promote continuous improvement.
  • Participate in internal post-submission feedback reviews to drive improvement.
  • Use Dynamics 365 to create, capture, update and share project and framework opportunity information to support business development and the governance process.
  • Develop and maintain a portals spreadsheet to control login details for all client portals.
  • Undertake portal management, including downloading client documents, uploading submissions and coordinating client correspondence in a timely manner and to meet deadlines.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Educated to at least GCSE standard in English and Maths.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe and graphical software such as InDesign, Visio and Illustrator.
  • Proposals training, such as Shipley or the Winning Bids Masterclass.
  • Previous proposals experience in infrastructure / construction environments.
  • Proficient user of graphical software such as InDesign, Visio and Illustrator.
  • Experience using knowledge management systems.
  • Experience using customer relationship management tools such as Dynamics or Salesforce.
