Building a sustainable tomorrow. BAM is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Director to join our ASTI Onshore team in Scotland. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in both the pre-construction and construction phases of major civil engineering projects, delivering critical infrastructure that supports future renewable developments across Scotland.

Your team will be based on project sites in the North East of Scotland, with regular travel to our Kilsyth office.

Making Possible

As Project Director, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing billings and cost procedures during preconstruction.
  • Ensuring Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) matters are managed on the Project.
  • Providing Project Management skills to ensure that all contractual requirements are met.
  • Assisting the site Project Managers on constructability issues during the planning phase of a project and managing the resource allocation to any early construction activities that may take place during this phase of a project.
  • Supporting the Commercial Manager and Area Commercial Manager in administering subcontracts.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Degree, HND in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Successful experience and performance at Project Manager level (or equivalent as deemed appropriate by Senior Management).
  • Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities to manage a single project of complexity and value.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the construction environment and forms of contract used upon the operational projects for which you are responsible.
  • Specialist Technical or Managerial Knowledge, aligned to the specific nature of the project for which you are responsible.
