Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Ground Engineering is seeking a full-time Trainee Shotfirer to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to enter the specialist field of drilling and blasting with the UKs largest drill and blast contractor.

No prior experience is required, as we will provide comprehensive, hands-on training to help you build the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified Shotfirer.
Your work environment Rate: £13.58 per hour
Hours: 42.5
Location: East Coast Scotland, with travel to other location throughout UK

Your mission Youll receive on-the-job training to allow you to become fully competent in:
Setting out a blast area
Conducting face surveys using laser scanners or drones
Producing blast specifications before charging
Charging the blast safely and efficiently
Completing post-blast assessments and reports
All training and operations are carried out to the highest safety standards, in full compliance with the Quarries Regulations 1999.

Essential requirements:
Minimum age: 21 years old due to regulations
Full, valid UK driving licence
