We are seeking a Principal Information Assurance Officer to join us on a Major Project at Devonport dockyard in Plymouth, Devon where we are refurbishing the Royal Navy dockyard.
Due to the site being a high Security Military Naval base, additional security checks will need to be made. BPSS level of security clearance is required. These checks can take up to 8 weeks to process.
Your work environment:
- BAM operates a flexible working policy.
- Operate 4-5 days a week on site in Devonport, as required by site with the remainder working from home.

Your mission:
- Act as a subject matter expert for the supply chains information management.
- Ensure that all supply chain passes the necessary criteria for classification of data accessed and processing.
- Perform audits on existing supply chain.
- Review responses to the prequalifying questionnaire (PQQ) sent out to suppliers prior to tender.
- Provide training and guidance to KBJV team in procuring suppliers and managing information correctly.
- Provide support/completing ITSO applications for onsite Hardware and software.
- Understand the hardware and software requirements on the project and communicate with the BIM Lead and Project Information Manager.
- Represent the company where necessary at internal and external meetings.
- Maintain high safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and report any inadequacies.
Who are we looking for?
- Degree in related discipline (logistics, security, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and Cyber essentials.
- Able to collaborate and work effectively within a multidiscipline and diverse team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be a member of one or more of the following: The Security Institute (SyI), The Register of Chartered Security Professionals (CSyP), UK Cyber Security Council (UKCSC) or Register of Security Engineers and Specialists (RSES).
- Able to audit, train and mentor supply chain in accordance with Project standards.
- Experience in working within a secure environment, MOD or other.
- Have good understanding of systems and network mapping, Governments Secure by design process.
- Have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management and information security.
