We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing operation. This is a key role within the Quality function, supporting the QHSE Compliance Manager and working closely with production, engineering, and supplier teams to maintain and continuously improve product and process quality in a highly regulated environment.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on Quality professional, confident in applying quality systems and engineering knowledge to drive compliance, resolve non-conformances, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Support the QHSE Compliance Manager in maintaining compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001
- Apply quality expertise across the business within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Investigate and resolve quality issues using structured problem-solving techniques
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to ensure quality standards are consistently met
- Support new product introductions and APQP activities
- Assist with manufacturing and remanufacturing process development
- Carry out Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) activities, including supplier development and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, records, and reports
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems and processes
- Degree-qualified in an Engineering or Scientific discipline, or HND/HNC in Manufacturing, Production, or Quality Engineering
- Proven experience in a Quality Engineering role within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience working to IATF 16949 standards preferred (ISO 9001 or AS9100 experience will also be considered)
- Experience with advanced inspection and measurement techniques, including MSA, CMMs, GD&T, and blueprint reading
- Audit trained (Lead Auditor training desirable)
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office; ERP experience beneficial
- Methodical approach with strong attention to detail
