We are looking to recruit Mechanical Assembly Operatives to join our busy engineering client in Weston-Super-Mare. This is a full-time, hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in quality, and wants to develop their skills in a professional engineering environment.
- Location: Weston-Super-Mare
- Pay: £13.50 - £14.00 per hour
- Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
Working as part of a skilled production team, your responsibilities will include:
- Assembly and disassembly of products, including engines, gearboxes and mechanical components
- Following technical and engineering drawings, work instructions and build specifications
- Operating basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Carrying out inspection, testing and quality control checks to ensure high standards are met
- Identifying faults, reporting issues and supporting continuous improvement
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment at all times
- Working to production schedules while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
We’re keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or mechanical environment
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings or written work instructions
- Confidence using basic hand and power tools
- A strong eye for detail
- A reliable, punctual and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Automotive, engine or gearbox experience is advantageous but not essential – training will be provided for the right candidate.
