This is a warehouse and stock movement role with a strong focus on operating a Combi-Lift forklift to relocate, pick and organise stock from goods-in / out areas. As a Combi-Lift driver, your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient movement of steel products within the Yard and Warehouse. You will be responsible for supplying materials, unloading deliveries from suppliers and managing the scrap skip when needed. Working Days are Mon-Fri (full time) with plenty of overtime on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating the Combi lift to transport loads to the appropriate departments.
- Unloading deliveries from suppliers and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
- Managing the scrap skip, ensuring it is organised and properly disposed of.
- Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintaining safety standards in line with company protocols.
Training:
Experience operating forklifts or working with long-length materials would be an advantage. A current forklift certificate, particularly Combi-Lift, 4-way, reach truck or counterbalance, would be helpful.
Useful experience:
- Combi-Lift, 4-way forklift, reach truck or counterbalance experience.
- Experience working with metals, steel, aluminium or engineering materials.
- Warehouse, stockholding, goods-in or order picking experience.
