We are looking for a Tool Room Operator/Engineer to join the Tool Room Design department at our clients prestigious site. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to all areas of Production and Tool Room workshop, set up and operate equipment including CNC machines and general tool room machining equipment. This position is available full-time on a permanent basis with working days Mon-Fri with plenty of overtime on offer.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operate and maintain tool room machinery as required.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to tooling breakdowns to minimise production disruption.
  • Manufacture new tools and ancillary parts from technical drawings or by replicating existing components.
  • Carry out repairs and modifications to a wide range of production tooling, including extrusion and moulding tools.
  • Provide support to maintenance operations when needed.
  • Troubleshoot tooling-related production issues and assist with breakdown recovery.
  • Carrying out generic tasks, which require machinery experience.
  • Consistently apply high standards of workmanship and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, reporting any hazards promptly to the Engineering Manager.

Experience / Requirements:

  • Hands on experience in manufacturing or engineering workshop/mould shop/tool room environment.
  • Practical, hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • CNC experience (Heidenheim preferred).
  • Ability to work well within a team as well individually.
  • Highly organised and strong attention to detail.
