The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.

We have an opportunity for a Section Engineer to join our team on the Eastern Green Link 2 project (EGL2) in Peterhead, Scotland. The project involves creating a 525kV, 2GW high voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea transmission cable from Peterhead to Drax, England. BAM Infrastructure will handle the engineering works for the 2 converter stations.

Your work environment:

Your mission:

  • Communicate effectively with foremen and gangers.
  • Document verbal instructions and maintain resource records.
  • Arrange and verify setting out checks.
  • Maintain survey books and daily diaries.
  • Complete inspection and test plans digitally.
  • Develop and monitor 4-week programmes with the section foreman.
  • Prepare risk assessments and method statements.
  • Keep detailed daily site diaries.
  • Handle material requisitions and ensure proper cost coding.
  • Oversee testing and sampling of materials.
  • Supervise chainpersons, assistants, and site engineers.
  • Ensure safety and compliance at all times.
  • Maintain good relations with clients, designers, and supply chain.
  • Advise on setting out methods and techniques.
  • Verify that drawings and specifications are complete and accurate.

Who are we looking for?

The following are mandatory:

  • Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent NVQ Level.
  • CSCS Level - Qualified Person/Supervisory/Manager.
  • SSSTS certification.

Desirable:

  • Experience as a site engineer.
  • Qualified to ICE Technician or Incorporated level or equivalent.
