Kier BAM are a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and BAM UK & Ireland’s Infrastructure segment.

We are currently delivering the redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site located in Plymouth and we are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator.

Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.

Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

  • In this role, you will be working in a live MOD facility. Your day to day will include:
  • Assist with the implementation of Vehicle Management System (VMS) to the supply chain and project.
  • Manage vehicle booking and approval, in line with access restrictions and limitations, and delivered on time.
  • Produce & present reports and data related to the VMS, its effectiveness and compliance.
  • Liaise with supply chain and operator/clients’ team on logistic and traffic issues.
  • Liaise with colleagues to provide and manage vehicle movements and delivery forecasts.
  • Set personal example in health, safety, environmental and logistical matters by ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Adopt, maintain, and promote cost-conscious management through efficient use of all resources.
  • Establish and maintain close working relationship with the client, construction teams and stakeholders.
  • Attend forums and meetings to coordinate movements within the site.
  • Identify potential efficiencies on vehicle movements.
  • Coordinate and communicate with delivery drivers, site teams and gate management to ensure deliveries are received within limited slots with limited disruption.
  • Assist with the management of movements within the site to the point of final delivery, ensuring any restrictions and unloading/loading methods are identified and implemented.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Qualified to HNC level, graduate or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experienced in successful logistics management and administration.
  • Thorough knowledge of logistic and driver procedures and working methods.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Confident use of Microsoft office software to compile and present information within varied forums.
  • CSCS Card (Blue or Green)
