BAM UK&I are looking for Civil Engineering students looking to complete a 2026 Summer placement.
Summer Placements: 8-12 week placement anytime from May 2026 - September 2026.
Making Possible. Whilst working with us as an Undergraduate placement student, you will support the site engineering team as part of your longer journey towards Incorporated (IEng) and Chartered (CEng) status of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Your responsibilities will include:
- Communicating effectively at all levels including site management, technical specialists, commercial staff, planners, engineers, supervisory staff operatives, suppliers, third parties and client representatives.
- Maintaining high personal standards in health and safety.
- Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour.
- Supporting quality delivery through effective planning and right first time delivery.
- Monitoring and recording delivery against the agreed programme and construction methods.
- Maintaining good working relations with client, designer, supply chain and others.
- Ensuring that works are accurately and clearly set out before work commences.

What do you bring to the role? Currently studying towards a degree in Civil Engineering. Excellent communication skills. Driven and self-motivated. Due to the nature of our business, you may be required to travel and stay away from home.
