Join our Technology Solutions team, dedicated to empowering Portfolio Managers (PMs) and Analysts with world-class technical solutions and timely, hands-on support. As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with, educate users, and become an expert in a variety of data sets, applications, and world-class investment platforms. This business-facing, high-impact role offers exposure to front office, investment workflow, technology, and infrastructure teams within a premier multi-strategy fund. Key Responsibilities:
- User Enablement & Support: Act as the primary point of contact for PMs and Analysts, providing high-touch support, training, and enablement for BAM’s suite of data products, data pipelines, and research/analytic tools.
- Data Delivery & Integration: Facilitate the delivery, analysis, and integration of financial, market, and alternative datasets using Python, SQL, and modern cloud tools (e.g., AWS, Airflow, Git).
- Workflow Automation & Best Practices: Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to automate data workflows, improve knowledge bases, and educate users on data-driven best practices.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Connect stakeholders across the firm to identify solutions, champion product enhancements, and share knowledge globally.
- Knowledge Management: Maintain and expand BAM’s Knowledge Base and training materials based on user feedback and your own experience supporting diverse investment workflows.
- Incident Management: Deliver high-quality, proactive incident management and service delivery, ensuring timely resolution of user issues and continuous improvement of support processes.
Required (must have one of the following):
- 3-5 years in application or user support for trading/investment systems, or direct experience with front/middle/back-office tooling.
- 3-5 years of financial data wrangling, Python/SQL/data pipeline experience, or data product enablement.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Math, or related field (or relevant equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and clear stakeholder communication (both written and verbal).
- Familiarity with cloud, automation, and/or database concepts (with willingness to broaden skill set across tracks).
Preferred/Bonus:
- Experience in a hedge fund, investment bank, or commodities environment.
- Exposure to time-series, market, or alternative data sets and analytic tools.
