ROLE OVERVIEW
As International Tax Manager, you will be part of the Firm’s tax department and report to the International Tax Director in London. The tax department is responsible for Compliance, Risk Management and Planning for all aspects of the organisation. The International Tax Manager will be responsible for the foregoing as it pertains to EMEA and APAC. The role will be supported by the broader tax team and outside advisors, where necessary.
In the role of International Tax Manager, the employee will be responsible for the following:
- Work with internal finance team and external advisors/accounting firms to prepare and review corporate income tax provisions and returns for various Trading Funds and Management entities.
- Work with external advisors and accounting firms to prepare and review indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, customs) for various Trading Funds and Management entities.
- Assist with maintenance and implementation of global transfer pricing policies and related documentation.
- Assist with local EMEA and APAC business initiatives.
- Assist with local enquiries and audits.
- Assist with global mobility queries, policies and enforcement of such policies.
- Assist global payroll team with understanding local rules regarding wage sourcing and fringe benefits treatment.
- Stay apprised of EMEA, APAC and international tax initiatives.
- Work with the International Tax director to gather information, resolve tax-related problems and effectively manage the tax profiles of the Funds and Management entities.
- Assist in the design and documentation of internal controls, policies and procedures for ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated and driven, with experience in the financial services industry with a concentration in tax accounting. The candidate must be someone who has:
- Knowledge of investment funds and management companies along with their associated tax matters.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
5+ years of experience in a tax related role within the financial services industry (focus on hedge funds, private equity, proprietary trading etc). Technology skills – ability to work with large data sets and data analytic tools, including in Excel with a strong understanding of Pivot Tables, Index/Match, and SUMIF functions. Experience using Alteryx/Tableau, LLMs and GPT scripting is a plus.
