Balfour Beatty’s specialist Balvac business is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of structural repair, strengthening and refurbishment projects across the UK. With a home base in Leeds, Derby or Birmingham, you’ll work nationwide on some of the country’s most critical infrastructure schemes.

What you’ll be doing
As a Balvac Site Agent, you’ll lead day-to-day on-site operations, managing direct labour and subcontractors to deliver safe, high-quality and efficient project outcomes. You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance, driving productivity and maintaining a strong safety culture across a variety of structural repair and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site teams to deliver multiple projects to programme, budget and specification
- Ensure compliance with Balfour Beatty policies, procedures and the Business Management System
- Oversee site setting-out and dimensional control
- Develop and review risk assessments, method statements, PMPs, ITPs, Construction Phase Plans
- Produce project programmes and track progress, outputs and productivity
- Drive Zero Harm and behavioural safety initiatives
- Apply Lean construction techniques including daily visual meetings and BIM360Field
- Identify and resolve engineering and construction issues proactively
- Manage construction records, O&M documentation and as-built information

- Background in infrastructure or civil engineering works
- Strong leadership, communication and team-management skills
- Ability to manage scheme budgets and commercial elements
- Robust understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental requirements
