Balfour Beatty is recruiting a Project Manager to join Balvac, our specialist construction and remediation business working on some of the UK’s most technically challenging projects.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will lead project teams and supply chains from pre‑construction through to completion, taking ownership of operational, commercial and safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, with full P&L responsibility
  • Lead safety with passion and credibility, embedding a Zero Harm culture and driving continuous improvement
  • Engage closely with customers to manage change, expectations and long‑term relationships
  • Drive strong sustainability performance, promoting efficient management of waste, energy and water
  • Embed operational excellence through leadership health checks and rigorous monthly project improvement processes
  • Ensure effective planning, risk management, project controls and reporting
  • Apply Lean construction principles and digital tools such as BIM360Field to optimise performance and safety
  • Maintain a strong understanding of contract terms and conditions to support commercial decision‑making

We’re Looking For

  • Experience in project management within the construction sector
  • Confident leader with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware with experience managing project finances
  • Experience or strong understanding of Lean construction principles (desirable)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Professional qualification (e.g. APMP) – desirable
