A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a local authority in London for passionate and aspirational Team Managers within their Children’s Safeguarding, Family Support & Child Protection service. This leadership role is open to an experienced Manager or Senior Social Worker who can evidence demonstrable supervisory experience to join their passionate and committed leadership team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will lead a team of Social Workers, managing day-to-day operational duties, while ensuring continued high-quality work and consistent outcomes for children and young people.

About your role as a Team Manager Family Support and Child Protection:

  • Support Service Managers within practice development
  • Provide guidance and advice on strategy, policy, and future service direction
  • Allocating team workloads and providing structured case management oversight
  • Ensure effective feedback is received and utilised through a high challenge/high support culture
  • Provide safe and robust risk management and assessment safeguarding needs through a high support/high challenge coaching environment and tailored supervision with staff
  • Translate strategy and policy into actionable service delivery plans

Your required experience as a Team Manager Family Support and Child Protection:

  • Recognised Social Work Qualification
  • Ability to deliver excellent practice standards within the legal framework
  • Continued commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families
  • Supervisory experience with approaches proportionate to identified risks and needs
  • Evidence of providing regular supervision – with a practice approach to identify and manage robust multi-agency safety planning, and support, develop and empower staff
