Overview: This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex, high‑value projects, influence senior stakeholders and play a pivotal role within a fast‑moving Development and Disposals function. You will report into a senior property lead, manage a demanding portfolio and be trusted to operate with autonomy from day one, with a formal review at the three‑month mark. You’ll be at the centre of ambitious programmes covering disposals, acquisitions, development appraisals and feasibility studies, working across political, commercial and community priorities. Responsibilities:
- Delivering capital receipts, acquisitions and complex disposal projects
- Leading development appraisals, valuations and feasibility studies
- Navigating the planning system and planning obligations to unlock value
- Managing a diverse property portfolio with a commercial, strategic mindset
- Building trusted relationships with members, senior officers and external partners, including regular travel as part of your remit
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven delivery of large‑scale, complex property disposals
- Deep knowledge of property marketing, local markets and estate management
- Strong project management and negotiation capability
- Confidence operating in a political environment, advising at senior level
- Ability to manage a complex caseload independently, using advanced ICT skills
Required Skills: You’ll bring sharp judgement, excellent written and presentation skills, and the confidence to make timely, well‑reasoned decisions that stand up to scrutiny. A current driving licence and access to a car are essential.
