Interim Assistant Director of Adult Social Care
3–6 month contract | Immediate start
£700–£800 per day (umbrella)
Inside IR35 (via umbrella)
Hybrid working – 2 days on site
Responsibilities
- Lead operational delivery across adult social care services, ensuring quality and consistency
- Drive service improvement and regulatory readiness across all functions
- Take ownership of performance, risk and safeguarding responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with health, housing and voluntary sector partners
- Deliver transformation and modernisation in response to demand and financial pressures
- Embed strengths‑based practice, promote independence and achieve meaningful outcomes for residents
Qualifications
- Proven senior leadership experience within a local authority adult social care setting
- Strong knowledge of statutory duties, safeguarding and regulatory frameworks
- Track record of delivering service transformation and improvement programmes
- Demonstrable ability to lead multi‑agency partnerships effectively
- Relevant professional qualifications and leadership credentials
