This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile Housing Needs and Homelessness service where you will lead complex improvement programmes, influence senior stakeholders, and drive modernisation across critical frontline services.
Reporting into the Head of Service Modernisation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping service delivery, strengthening compliance, improving performance, and ensuring residents remain at the heart of everything you do.
Your Role as Service Modernisation Manager:
- Lead complex transformation programmes, service reviews, and improvement initiatives across Housing Needs and Homelessness
- Develop business cases, diagnostic reviews, project plans, governance reports, and performance frameworks
- Drive process redesign, compliance improvements, and operational efficiencies through data-led decision making
- Manage project risks, budgets, benefits realisation, and stakeholder engagement across multidisciplinary teams
- Act as a trusted advisor and critical friend to senior leaders, influencing strategic decisions and embedding continuous improvement
Your Previous Experience as a Service Modernisation Manager:
- Proven track record of delivering successful transformation, change, and service improvement programmes
- Strong project management expertise with experience of governance, risk management, and assurance frameworks
- Experience within housing, homelessness, local government, or similarly complex public sector environments
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build credibility at senior levels
- Project Management or Change Management qualification such as PRINCE2, APM, APMG, or equivalent
