Looking for an opportunity where you can make an immediate impact across safeguarding services? As the Interim Service Manager – Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT), you will take the lead within a developing multi-agency safeguarding service, providing operational and strategic oversight across Children’s Social Care and key safeguarding partners. Reporting into senior leadership, you will play a pivotal role in driving high-quality child protection practice, strengthening multi-agency relationships, and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys leading change, and can quickly establish credibility with partners and stakeholders.

Your Role as Interim Service Manager – Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT):

  • Lead and develop a high-performing safeguarding service across a complex multi-agency environment
  • Provide oversight of Strategy Discussions, Section 47 Enquiries and Child Protection Planning
  • Drive quality assurance, service improvement and practice development across the service
  • Strengthen partnerships with Health, Education, Police and wider safeguarding agencies
  • Champion Families First reforms, Signs of Safety principles and collaborative safeguarding practice

Your Previous Experience as Interim Service Manager – Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT):

  • Significant leadership experience within Children’s Social Care and Child Protection Services
  • Strong knowledge of Child Protection procedures, statutory safeguarding responsibilities and multi-agency arrangements
  • Proven track record managing Team Managers, Social Workers and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience delivering service improvement, performance management and quality assurance frameworks
  • Previous experience operating at Service Manager, Group Manager, Head of Service or equivalent senior level
