You will be responsible for managing a professional caseload of Class 2 projects (2B through 2F), including new applications, regularisations, and reversions, ensuring full compliance with the Building Act 1984 and current Building Regulations.

About the Building Control Inspector role:
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical plan appraisals and site inspections, maintaining meticulous records and progressing applications toward completion in line with the Council’s scheme of delegation.
- Execute remedial and enforcement actions under the supervision of senior Registered Building Inspectors to uphold technical standards and allied legislation.
- Provide vital support to Team Managers and Principal Inspectors while supervising Class 1 Inspectors, delegating tasks such as plan checking and inspections within your limits of competence.
Qualifications
- Your previous experience as a Building Inspector Surveyor:
- Registration as a Building Inspector at a minimum of Class 2A (with the ability to work across Class 2B–2F under supervision).
- Proven track record in making professional recommendations for completion certificates and managing complex regulatory documentation.
- Commitment to professional ethics, with experience working strictly in accordance with the Code of Conduct for Registered Building Inspectors.
- Relevant technical background, ideally with experience in Local Authority frameworks and the Building Act 1984.
