A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a London local authority for a Head of Service – Quality Assurance to join on an initial 3–6-month interim basis, supporting the recruitment to a permanent post. CV review and interviews are scheduled for week commencing 23rd June, with applications closing on Thursday, 26th June 2025.
Role Overview:
- Deliver effective performance against the framework and establish high-quality data and information for the service.
- Hold gravitas as Head of Service, working collaboratively with other senior leaders across the directorate to implement operational and strategic changes.
- Review current recording processes, identify gaps, and remap pathways to improve service delivery.
- Share insights with colleagues across the directorate, including operational service leaders, the Academy, PSW, and ADCS, to deliver training and support improvements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a senior manager or Head of Service in a quality assurance or review role.
- Social work qualification and technical knowledge of performance within Children’s Services.
- Understanding of reports and infrastructure relevant to Children’s Social Care.
- Experience leading a team and providing expertise on complex queries.
- Hold a valid DBS or willingness to obtain one, with 2 years of references.
