An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Project Managers to support a major public sector capital investment programme, delivering transport and highway infrastructure schemes that will shape the future of the region.
Overview – Project Manager
- Lead the delivery of a portfolio of infrastructure projects from conception to completion.
- Establish project governance and produce clear documentation for boards and committees.
- Manage stakeholder engagement, including internal teams, external partners, and local communities.
- Commission professional services and oversee developer contracts.
- Provide strategic guidance, manage risk, and ensure quality assurance across all projects.
Role 1 Focus Areas
- DfT Safer Roads scheme
- Active travel schemes linked to LCWIP
- Equalities Act and pedestrian improvements
Role 2 Focus Areas
- Surface water drainage schemes
- Projects related to active landslip areas
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in highways, transport, or infrastructure project management.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement and managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
Qualifications
- No specific qualifications required; emphasis on relevant experience.
- Background in highways, civil engineering, or major capital projects highly desirable.
