An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in the West Midlands for a Operations Manager for Children’s Residential. You will report to the Head of Children’s Residential and the key focus of this role will be to improve practice within the 3x Children’s Homes.
About your duties as the Operations Manager – Child Residential, Children’s Social Care:
- To lead and manage the development and shaping of the homes, ensuring dynamic plans for the children and young people.
- Holding the Responsible Individual role for the Council
- Ensure the Homes are Ofsted inspection ready
- Responsibility for identifying the complex needs of the children and young people and providing additional therapeutic support when required.
- Safeguarding and promotion of well-being for those who reside within the home.
- Ensuring the home complies with the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015)
- Ensuring that the staff have training and development opportunities to enable them to be fully skilled within their fields and understand what Ofsted “Good” looks like
Your experience needed as the Operations Manager – Child Residential, Children’s Social Care:
- Ideally have a Level 5 Children’s Home Management Qualification.
- Must have been a Service Manager or Registered Manager (with Ofsted) previously.
- Proven track record improving Children’s Home practice
- Must have experience of leading a home through an Ofsted inspection.
