We’re currently recruiting for an RI for Children’s Residential services based in Manchester (with Homes across Merseyside and Sheffield) within a Private Provider. An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Private Provider in the North West for an RI for Children’s Residential. You will report to the Head of Operations, and the key focus of this role will be to oversee a remit of 6x Homes, one of which is fully set up and the others are in process.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development and shaping of the homes, ensuring dynamic plans for the children and young people.
- Hold the Responsible Individual role for the Provider.
- Ensure the Homes are Ofsted inspection ready.
- Identify the complex needs of the children and young people and provide additional therapeutic support when required.
- Safeguard and promote well-being for those who reside within the home.
- Ensure the home complies with the Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015).
- Ensure that the staff have training and development opportunities to enable them to be fully skilled within their fields and understand what Ofsted “Good” looks like.
Qualifications
- Ideally hold a Level 5 Children’s Home Management Qualification.
- Must have been a Service Manager or Registered Manager (with Ofsted) previously.
- Proven track record improving Children’s Home practice.
- Must have experience of leading a home through an Ofsted inspection.
