Ready to take ownership of high‐value regeneration programmes and influence major construction procurement strategy? As a Category Manager, Procurement (Regeneration), you will report into a Procurement Category Lead while leading a team of 4 specialists, driving commercial excellence across complex housing and development projects. This is a hands‐on, high‐impact position where your expertise will shape procurement strategy, manage risk, and deliver best value across major capital works.

Your role as Category Manager, Procurement (Regeneration) will see you operating at both strategic and operational levels—advising senior stakeholders, managing end‐to‐end procurements, and ensuring governance excellence across the programme. This is an opportunity where your voice will influence key decisions and improve outcomes for communities and stakeholders alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead major construction procurements across regeneration and housing programmes
  • Drive commercial strategy, governance and risk management across contracts
  • Manage end‐to‐end tender processes, documentation and supplier engagement
  • Oversee contract negotiations and performance management for complex works
  • Champion sustainable procurement and best value delivery across all projects
Previous Experience
  • Strong background in public sector procurement legislation (PA2023/PCR2015)
  • Proven delivery of major works and construction procurement projects
  • Knowledge of JCT, NEC, PPC2000 and Design & Build contracts
  • Experience leading teams and managing stakeholders at senior level
  • Track record of delivering cost savings and risk mitigation strategies
