We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LADO to join a North London Local Authority on a part-time basis. This flexible opportunity requires 2 days one week and 3 days the next (or a consistent 3 days a week option). The role is critical to managing the overflow of LADO referrals within the Local Authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance to support with additional capacity needs with managing referrals and allegations.
- Provide advice and guidance to employers and voluntary organisations that have concerns about a person who may have behaved inappropriately when working or volunteering with children and young people.
- Matrix management of all cases and investigations in an unbiased and timely manner.
- Ensure that there is a transparent, fair and consistent process for all whom allegations are made against.
- Working with the Mosaic system to ensure efficient case management.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven LADO, preferably with experience with the Mosaic system.
- Prior knowledge of Local Authority processes.
- Demonstrable experience as a Safeguarding and Quality Assurance specialist with expertise in complex case management.
- Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills both written and oral.
- Active registration of Social Work England.
- Available references for the most recent assignments.
- Must have requisite level of DBS checks or be willing to undertake one.
