£500 - £650 Inside IR35 3 month contract North West Council Hybrid. Your Role as Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects:
- Lead and manage all aspects of facilities management across Council and school sites, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Manage performance for multiple facilities management programs and oversee the capital delivery program for both corporate and school assets.
- Provide strong leadership, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and effective cost control.
- Drive forward the implementation of a corporate landlord model and support the development of a comprehensive estates strategy.
- Develop, implement, and manage planned maintenance and compliance programs, including health & safety, statutory compliance, and preventative maintenance for the property portfolio.
- Develop frameworks and procurement strategies to ensure the efficient delivery of services and partner management.
Your previous experience as Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects:
- Qualifications in Management, Facilities Management (IWFM), Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), or Chartered Surveying (RICS).
- Experience in local government or public sector organisations.
- Knowledge of implementing a corporate landlord model.
- Educated to degree level in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven leadership and people management skills with a track record in managing complex services at a senior level.
- Extensive experience in property management, facilities management, health & safety, and compliance.
- Experience managing capital works programs, both major and minor projects.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior leaders, committee members, and stakeholders.
