£500 - £650 Inside IR35 3 month contract North West Council Hybrid. Your Role as Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of facilities management across Council and school sites, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Manage performance for multiple facilities management programs and oversee the capital delivery program for both corporate and school assets.
  • Provide strong leadership, budget management, and resource allocation to ensure efficient operations and effective cost control.
  • Drive forward the implementation of a corporate landlord model and support the development of a comprehensive estates strategy.
  • Develop, implement, and manage planned maintenance and compliance programs, including health & safety, statutory compliance, and preventative maintenance for the property portfolio.
  • Develop frameworks and procurement strategies to ensure the efficient delivery of services and partner management.

Your previous experience as Head of Facilities Management & Capital Projects:

  • Qualifications in Management, Facilities Management (IWFM), Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), or Chartered Surveying (RICS).
  • Experience in local government or public sector organisations.
  • Knowledge of implementing a corporate landlord model.
  • Educated to degree level in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills with a track record in managing complex services at a senior level.
  • Extensive experience in property management, facilities management, health & safety, and compliance.
  • Experience managing capital works programs, both major and minor projects.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior leaders, committee members, and stakeholders.
