As the Director of Public Health, you will lead the improvement of health and wellbeing for residents, reducing inequalities and protecting local communities from health hazards.

About your role as a Director of Public Health

  • Management of the Public Health budget and grant funding, utilising resources imaginatively
  • Management of the Public Health team including Consultants
  • Influence change and enable a culture of continuous improvement
  • Partnership working with other Strategic Directors of Public Health in neighbouring Boroughs

About you as a Director of Public Health

  • Relevant experience within a similar position
  • Relevant Public Health qualification or registration such as UKPHR
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership and operational management
  • Experience of leading organisation change and transformation
