Reporting into the Director of Public Health, you will be responsible for working to improve health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for our residents for a Local Authority.

About the Consultant in Public Health role:

1. This role is leading on health inequalities, integrated primary care, NHS health checks, and public health intelligence.
2. Provide advice and support to other public health staff and organisations, including directors of public health, the government, and local authorities on health protection issues.
3. Be confident in making change happen, build rapport, and work professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your previous experience as a Consultant in Public Health:

1. UK PHR Registrar – Active or receiving within 6/12 months.
2. Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
3. Ability to design, develop, interpret, and implement strategies and policies.
4. Strong team management and performance skills.
