This busy local authority is seeking an experienced Commissioning Lead to lead the implementation, mobilisation and scaling of a community reablement transformative programme to achieve an effective community reablement service delivering support to around 4,000 people a year.

Your role as a Commissioning Lead:

  • Lead the development of a commissioning strategy for reablement within Adult Social Care.
  • Oversight of a pilot model leading to transition and scaling up.
  • Work closely with operational managers to design, mobilise, and scale new approaches to accommodation-based support.
  • Support the transition and improvement of existing services to match future operating models.
  • Establish effective performance, quality, and outcomes frameworks.
  • Ensure risks, milestones, dependencies, and benefits are clearly managed and delivered.

Your previous experience as a Senior Commissioning Manager:

  • In-depth knowledge of reablement and domiciliary care within Adult Social Care.
  • Strong understanding of commissioning models and partnership arrangements.
  • Proven experience commissioning major contracts and driving service improvements.
  • Ability to translate business cases into deliverable operational models.
  • Experience implementing benefits realisation plans and reporting frameworks.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
