Your Role as Child in Need Reviewing Officer:

  • Lead and chair Child in Need reviews, keeping the child’s voice and lived experience central
  • Provide robust independent challenge, tackling drift, delay, and risk head-on
  • Escalate effectively into Child Protection or legal frameworks when required
  • Work across multi-agency partnerships to deliver joined-up outcomes
  • Drive quality assurance and service improvement through audits and best practice

Your previous experience as Child in Need Reviewing Officer:

  • Strong background in safeguarding and Child in Need frameworks
  • Confident in independent oversight and professional challenge
  • Proven ability to influence and improve practice standards
  • Experience working within a Local Authority setting
  • Social Work qualification and clear understanding of statutory responsibilities
