Programme Lead – Specialist Provision
6 months interim contract
South West, Local Authority – Hybrid working
Inside IR35 - £450 per day
Start Date: June
Due to upcoming national policy reforms and local priorities, an Education Directorate in the South West is seeking an experienced Programme Lead – Specialist Provision to engage with schools, families, and stakeholders to drive improvements in SEND and Alternative Provision services.
Your Duties as Programme Lead – Specialist Provision:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive programme plan to support service improvements
- Lead on a Universal Banding System Review to ensure fair and effective allocation of resources for children with SEND.
- Review current commissioning briefs as well as a forward plan focusing on increased sufficiency and changes in the county
- Update commissioning briefs to align with population needs and future projections prioritising Maintained Special School Place Planning
- Collaborate with Head of SEN, Specialist Commissioners School and wider stakeholders
Experience Needed as Programme Lead – Specialist Provision:
- Strong experience in senior programme management within education and SEND services
- Proven track record in developing and leading service improvement strategies
- Experience in financial management, partnership engagement, and policy development in relation to Education and SEND
