As a Building Control Surveyor you will play a pivotal role supporting a busy team, reporting into a Principal Surveyor and working across a varied portfolio of construction projects. This opportunity offers autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to work on complex developments where your inspections and compliance knowledge will directly shape outcomes.
Your role as a Building Control Surveyor:
- Carry out plan checking on a wide range of construction projects to ensure compliance
- Conduct site inspections and enforce building regulations across developments
- Provide expert advice to stakeholders via phone, email, and face-to-face
- Assess and manage dangerous structures safely during working hours
- Support team development, mentoring trainee and assistant surveyors
Your experience as a Building Control Surveyor:
- Hold BSR Registration (minimum Class 2A, ideally 2F) – essential
- Have corporate membership with RICS, CABE, CIOB or equivalent
- Demonstrate strong independent working and decision-making ability
- Solid understanding of Building Regulations & Building Safety Act
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance
