Reporting onto the Principal Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations. In this role, you will support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors. You will have excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and the Building Safety Act.
Your Role as Building Control Surveyor:
- Review plans for a diverse range of construction projects.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Provide Building Control advice through various channels.
- Inspect dangerous structures during regular working hours.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and correspondence.
- Support the training of Trainee and Assistant Surveyors.
- Assist the Principal Surveyor and Team Manager with additional team duties.
Your previous experience as Building Control Surveyor:
- Minimum Class 2A BSR Registration.
- Full corporate membership status with a recognised professional body such as RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
- Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations and the underlying legislation.
- Knowledge of Building Safety Act and its impact on the construction industry.
