Service Manager Childrens Residential & Commissioning Initial 3-6 month contract Inside IR35 £400-£500 per day (Umbrella) Home Counties, Local Authority (Hybrid working) Whilst the team looks to appoint a permanent postholder, my client is looking for an experienced senior leader with expertise within Childrens Residential and Commissioning Services for Children Looked After. The role will be responsible for a team of commissioners delivering services across Fostering, Domiciliary, Supported Accommodation, Childrens Homes and Adoption. In addition, the portfolio will have oversight of a number of existing Childrens Homes with plans to further scope and open 5 more. The client is looking to review CVs ASAP with a view to start in November following interviews taking place within the week. About your role as the Service Manager Childrens Residential & Commissioning: Working closely with the Head of Corporate Parenting and the Assistant Director, you will drive the capital agenda to create more internal provision within the council. You will look to increase the existing portfolio of childrens homes (Good & Outstanding) by 5 including the sourcing of properties, set up and recruitment/registration You will deliver operational oversight of the commissioning function, working with your commissioners to foster effective local relationships with providers for Childrens Services.
