An exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader in Children’s services with expertise in Children’s Improvement, Quality Assurance & Transformation .
Ahead of their upcoming ILACS inspection, my client is investing in additional leadership to drive forward their improvement agenda working collaboratively with senior leaders across Children’s Social Care.
Pivotal to this role is expertise in Children’s Social Care, high quality services and demonstrable skills in Transformation.
You will link closely with external stakeholders such as SMT, Health Partners, DfE & Ofsted and must be able to articulate the agenda for change and where the service is in their transformation journey.

About your role as Assistant Director Quality, Improvement & Transformation:
- You will have great lines of sight into quality social work practice across the whole service and make recommendations for transformation and improvement to deliver against Quality deadlines.
- You will confidently articulate the service’s performance and journey with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You will manage the change process as necessary to drive towards an improved Ofsted outcome in the upcoming ILACs inspection.
- Reporting to the DCS, your role will be critical to ensuring that the pace for improvement is realised in line with services objectives.
Your required experience as Assistant Director Quality, Improvement & Transformation:
- More than 2 years’ experience at a minimum in a Head of Service level role or higher with clear expertise within Children’s Social Care .
- You will be a leader operating with exceptional communication skills and with a demonstrable track record in service improvement/innovation.
- You will be a subject specialist within Children’s Social Care adept at working in an agile/changing environment.
- You will hold a social work qualification.
- Available references for most recent 2 year’s roles and Enhanced DBS will be required.
