As the Assistant Director for Adult Social Care you will oversee the day-to-day operational management of services ensuring quality whilst providing strategic leadership.
About your role as an Assistant Director of Adult Social Care
- Oversight of improvement work in various areas including:
- Safeguarding
- Urgent emergency care
- Shared lives
- Day service strategy
- Learning Disabilities
- Ensure all services under your directorship meet all adult social care legal requirements
- Ensure delivery of statutory obligations
- Develop strategic approach and service improvement plans
- Management of Service Managers / Headβs of service
About you as an Assistant Director of Adult Social Care
- Relevant experience within a similar position at Assistant Director level
- Excellent knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act
- Ability to balance strategic leadership and operational management
- Experience of leading organisation change and transformation
