An exciting interim opportunity within a local authority providing essential leadership whilst the team looks to appoint a permanent post-holder. Reporting into senior leadership, you will manage and develop a high-performing Reablement and Independence Service, leading the provider arm responsible for delivering short-term, person-centred support that enables people to regain confidence, independence and control over their daily lives.
You will play a key role in ensuring safe, effective, strengths-based reablement provision, supporting timely hospital discharges, improving outcomes and shaping a service that empowers individuals to live independently in their own homes and communities.
About your Role as Registered Manager – Reablement & Independence Service:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the reablement provider service
- Oversee day-to-day delivery ensuring safe, effective, person-centred care through the promotion of strengths-based practice that builds independence, dignity and wellbeing
- Act as Registered Manager, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards including performance management, audits, quality assurance and continuous service improvement
- Support timely hospital discharges and smooth transitions into reablement pathways
- Ensure robust governance, safeguarding, record keeping and risk management
- Maintain safe staffing levels, effective rota planning and high-quality service delivery 7 days a week
- Build strong working relationships with health, social care and community partners
- Monitor outcomes, performance data and service user feedback to drive quality
Your required experience as Registered Manager – Reablement & Independence Service:
- Proven leadership experience within regulated adult social care services
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulatory requirements and quality frameworks
- Experience running reablement, homecare or short-term support services (essential)
- Ability to lead, inspire and develop a diverse and multidisciplinary workforce
- Strong partnership working skills with health, social care and community stakeholders
- Experience managing service performance, audits and continuous improvement
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and person-centred support
