Reporting into the Building Control Manager, you will be responsible for Building Control for a Local Authority.
About the Senior Building Control Surveyor role:
- Site inspections, examination of compliance and dealing with a case load of Building Regulations submissions
- Advise applicants, builders, architects and other clients on design projects and fees
- Respond to all Building Control matters
- Safeguard the Authority's interests in all financial transactions involving the post holder, while also supporting the evaluation and collection of fees and charges.
Your previous experience as a Senior Building Control Surveyor:
- RBI registration at Class 2A with the Building Safety Regulator
- Associated member of CABE, RICS, CIOB, IStructE or ICE.
- RBI registration at Class 2B and 2C, respectively with the Building Safety Regulator
- Full member of CABE, RICS, CIOB, IStructE or ICE.
- RBI registration at Class 2D with the Building Safety Regulator
- Qualified as a chartered professional (Surveyor; Building Engineer; Civil, Structural or Fire Safety)
- Strong technical ability in terms of Building regulations and able to navigate around British Standards
- Experience in a relevant building, construction or engineering environment
- Recent experience of a Building Control Surveyor within a Local Authority
