Baltimore are working with a local authority client in the Midlands in their search for an experienced public health professional with a proven track record in intelligence and epidemiology to join the team and lead public health intelligence objectives improve population health and reduce health inequalities as a Public Health Principal.

Your duties as a Public Health Principal:
Provide public health intelligence expertise for the directorate, specifically supporting working with the portfolio lead for Public Health Intelligence as well as the Director of Public Health in their work with partner agencies to help support health and wellbeing outcomes across the system.
Whilst linking in with the local NHS ICB you will lead on delivery of Joint Strategic Needs Assessments and take lead on the production and development of public health information.
By driving innovation and creating think you will support in delivering council and partnership objectives, working collaborative with regional and national public health organisations.
As the council\'s SME you will lead a team comprised of one junior manager and a number of public health analyst.
Experience needed as a Public Health Principal:
Have demonstrable past experience of leading public health intelligence teams within a local government setting.
An experienced public health intelligence professional who has worked across various data set systems and processes to help inform decision making and help develop evidence-based approaches.
Be a strong communicator with in-depth working knowledge of public health intelligence within a local authority public health setting, as well as understanding of other public sector organisations cultures, structures and policies.
