A dynamic and forward thinking Youth Offending Service in North London is seeking an experienced Practice and Quality Assurance Consultant to support continued improvement and practice development, following a recent positive HMIP inspection rating.

Due to temporary capacity issues within the quality assurance arm, we are looking for a highly skilled professional who can hit the ground running and drive forward improvements in practice, training, and workforce development.

Your duties include:

  • Support the delivery of the service improvement plan and quality assurance framework
  • Lead on practice development and staff training
  • Provide expertise on National Standards and HMIP inspection frameworks
  • Drive innovation and ensure consistent, high quality service delivery
  • Deliver high-quality reports and analysis to support strategic development
  • Supervise staff, set priorities, and manage task allocations effectively

Experience required:

  • Proven track record of impact in Youth Justice Services
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance systems and frameworks
  • In depth knowledge of National Standards and HMIP inspection processes
  • High level auditing and evaluation skills
  • Strong multi agency and partnership working skills
  • Experience writing strategic reports and delivering workforce supervision
  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g., Social Work, Law, Youth Work, Teaching, Probation)
  • Youth Justice accredited training
