Are you an experienced Deputy Residential Home Manager looking for your next interim leadership opportunity? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Deputy Residential Home Manager to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people within a residential setting. As Deputy Residential Home Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager, providing operational leadership, championing safeguarding excellence, and helping to create a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
This role offers the chance to make a genuine difference while developing and supporting a dedicated staff team. If you're a proactive Deputy Residential Home Manager with strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and a passion for improving outcomes for young people, we'd love to hear from you.
Your Role as Deputy Residential Home Manager:
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day leadership and running of the home
- Lead, supervise and develop staff through effective supervisions, coaching and performance management
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards and safeguarding requirements
- Oversee care planning, risk assessments, incident management and behaviour support strategies
- Build positive relationships with social workers, families, education providers and partner agencies
Your Previous Experience as Deputy Residential Home Manager:

- Experience working within a children's residential care setting in a senior or deputy management capacity
- Strong understanding of Children's Homes Regulations 2015, safeguarding and Ofsted expectations
- Experience leading teams, conducting supervisions and supporting staff development
- Ability to manage safeguarding concerns, complaints and complex incidents appropriately
- Enhanced DBS and willingness to undertake a DVLA check, with flexibility to travel using work vehicles when required
