The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Initial 3 month contract (With View to Extend). CV’s are being reviewed ASAP and Teams interviews will be taking place week commencing 12th January 2026.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record working as a Tribunal Officer within a local authority setting.
  • Recent experience of appeal management from start to finish covering whole resolutions.
  • Good knowledge of SEN / D & the SEND Code of Practice.

Note: You won’t be required to represent at hearings.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Mediations and appeals.
  • Drafting the LA’s response to appeals.
  • Managing a Tribunal caseload.
  • Preparing and collating evidence.
  • Liaising with witnesses.

The role of SEND Tribunal Officer will also include liaison and advice with locality SENAR teams. In this role, you will be supported by business support officers who will do all the bundles.
