A brand new 4-bedded children’s home in Somerset is seeking an aspiring Registered Manager who is passionate, motivated and ready for progression. You’ll receive full support, structured development, and the chance to shape a new service from day one.
You will be fully funded to complete your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, with hands-on guidance from an experienced senior leadership team. Once you are qualified and the home is fully registered, your salary will increase to £60,000.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the opening and development of a brand new 4-bedded children’s home
- Working closely with senior leaders to assist with Ofsted registration, policies and procedures
- Helping to build and shape your staff team from the ground up
- Ensuring children experience high-quality, nurturing, therapeutic care
- Leading, motivating and supporting your team as you grow into the Registered Manager role
- Representing the home to external professionals and within the local community
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently working as a Deputy Manager in a children’s home
- Has strong leadership potential and wants to progress into a Registered Manager role
- Has at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant children’s residential setting
- Has experience supervising staff and contributing to high-quality practice
- Understands Children’s Home Regulations and Ofsted expectations
- Holds a Level 3 Children & Young People qualification (or equivalent)
- Has a full UK manual driving licence
- Is committed, resilient and passionate about improving outcomes for young people
