Are you a Deputy Manager in a children's residential setting, ready to take the next step into your first Registered Manager role? This is an outstanding opportunity to grow your career with an organisation committed to developing future leaders. Our client is opening a brand new children's home in Somerset and is seeking an aspiring Registered Manager who is passionate, motivated and ready for progression. You'll receive full support, structured development, and the chance to shape a new service from day one. You will be fully funded to complete your Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management, with hands-on guidance from an experienced senior leadership team. Once you are qualified and the home is fully registered, your salary will increase to £60,000.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the opening and development of a brand new 4-bedded children's home.
- Working closely with senior leaders to assist with Ofsted registration, policies and procedures.
- Helping to build and shape your staff team from the ground up.
- Ensuring children experience high-quality, nurturing, therapeutic care.
- Leading, motivating and supporting your team as you grow into the Registered Manager role.
- Representing the home to external professionals and within the local community.
About You:
- Is currently working as a Deputy Manager in a children's home.
- Has strong leadership potential and wants to progress into a Registered Manager role.
- Has at least 2 years' experience in a relevant children's residential setting.
- Has experience supervising staff and contributing to high-quality practice.
- Understands Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted expectations.
- Holds a Level 3 Children & Young People qualification (or equivalent).
- Has a full UK manual driving licence.
- Is committed, resilient and passionate about improving outcomes for young people.
